November GCSE Resit Tutoring — Maths and English
Ten weeks. One grade. A plan that fits the time you actually have.
If your child missed a grade 4 in Maths or English this summer, the next chance isn't next summer. It's this November.
That's not a lot of time to reteach a whole GCSE from scratch. It is enough time to find the specific topics that are costing the marks, close them, and fix the exam technique around them — if you start now and know where to aim.
What the programme is
- A diagnostic first. Before anything is taught, we find out precisely where the marks went. You get that in writing.
- Ten weekly sessions, one to one, online, built around the gaps the diagnostic found — not a generic syllabus recap.
- A full mock paper under timed conditions, which we then work through with your child session by session.
- A written progress summary partway through, so you can see whether it's working rather than hoping it is.
Who teaches it
Every tutor at Enhance Minds is a Russell Group student or graduate, and all are DBS-checked. Most of our tutors are medical students at UCL — people who sat these exams recently, at a high level, and remember exactly how the marks are won and lost.
If you need to stop partway through, you're charged our standard £25 an hour for the sessions your child actually had, and the rest is refunded. We ask for a week's notice so the tutor isn't preparing a session that won't happen, and refunds are processed within five working days.
You're committing to a plan, not to a contract you can't get out of.

If it doesn't work out
If you need to stop partway through, you're charged our standard £25 an hour for the sessions your child actually had, and the rest is refunded. We ask for a week's notice so the tutor isn't preparing a session that won't happen, and refunds are processed within 7 working days.
Start with a free diagnostic
Before you commit to anything, book a free diagnostic session. 30 minutes with one of our tutors, followed by a written one-page report: which topics are costing the marks, how far off a grade 4 they currently are, and what the ten weeks would be spent on.
One thing to check this week
If your child is going on to a sixth form or college, the college usually enters them for the November resit automatically — but not always, and not always for both subjects. Ask them directly this week and get it confirmed. Entry deadlines fall well before the exam.
